MAVIS resulted from a joint research
project between the National Physical
Laboratory and Loughbor.ugh University
of Technology started in 1976.  Many
different disabilities were studied as .
part of this work and an easy to use
box MAVIS resulted.  During the last
year a number of different disabled
people have used the system with very
successful results.
